The industry application of MicroSensor water pressure sensors involves hydrology and water conservancy, environmental monitoring, and more. The accurate measurement aims at depth, pressure, and flow rates. Various application sites include static pressure measuring of the pipelines, vessels, tanks, etc. The pressure transducer is available to measure the groundwater depth of boreholes and agriculture irrigations. Generally, the water tank pressure sensors sense the amount of water in the containers or the change rate at that level as we can call water level sensors. Within the tanks or containers, the air above the water is compacted as the water level increases, exerting more pressure on the water tank sensor. The sensor signal is converted into a digital value thus the water amount or level can be measured.
Similar to tanks, the groundwater, and borehole levels can be measured with water level pressure sensors. MicroSensor offers a series of water pressure level sensors for water pressure measuring applications.
A water pressure transmitter can measure the pressure or level of the water. Application scenarios include but are not limited to water tanks, water pipelines, and water containers.
Water Pressure (in pipes) → Direct reading (bar/psi). Water pressure sensor measures the force (psi/bar) exerted by water against the sensor’s diaphragm. The sensing diaphragm converts pressure to a current signal through the circuit to fulfill the whole measurement.
Water Level (in tanks/containers) → Uses hydrostatic pressure (P = ρgh) to calculate water height.
